Botanic Chic

7th August 2014

A beautiful affair with Sophie & Simon captured by Siaosi Photography.  Day dream your evening away with this gorgeous wedding infused with elegance and colour.

Here are some words from the stunning bride herself ;

‘Simon and I wanted a wedding that combined our down-to-earth style with a touch of elegance. Each table was named after a native tree and we gave gifts of seeds from these trees for guests to take home and plant. Two of my bridesmaids were the seed collectors and spent an afternoon hunting and gathering, hoisting each other up Cabbage tree trunks and climbing out onto narrow branches, in order to get 1000 or more seeds. Let’s just say, we were glad they didn’t get their nails done til after this wee adventure!’

‘We wanted to celebrate sharing our love with all of our favourite people. Eastbourne is a special place to us both. From the magic of the native bush that covers the hills, to the wild rocky coastline we love the environment here. Not only is the area Simon’s childhood playground, but also where he proposed high on the hill one day. The local environment and flora seemed like a fitting starting point for our theme – botanical chic.’

Siaosi Photography our photographer did a fabulous job. We didn’t know she was there most of the time, and yet she captured so many stunning photos. There were loads of laughs on our bridal party shoot, and heading out into the Eastbourne sand dunes with my love as the sun set was magic.’

‘The most memorable moment was arriving at the gate with my babe there waiting, feeling so elated, holding hands and looking out at the sea of grinning faces. It was such an amazing feeling.’
