While Aspen, Colorado is known as a travel destination frequented by the rich and famous, many of Aspen’s visitors know this beautiful Colorado mountain town for its extensive mix of arts programs, cultural events, and cosmopolitan nightlife. What’s more, Aspen has a variety of restaurants, shopping, lodging and nightlife that caters to a range of budgets and experiences. Many couples in the Southern hemisphere choose to Marry in the summer months, Choosing a honeymoon destination in Colorado would be an excellent choice for ‘Lover’s Downunder’, who are passionate about snow and love the adventures in the great outdoors.

1.NOBU Matsuhisa – A modern japanese restaurant with a twist on the traditional Japanese food. You must try the Yellowtail. $$$$ 2.8K restaurant, Viceroy – A warm, inviting modern restaurant, at the base of Snowmass mountain. Read a book by the fire, or enjoy a drink at the bar. $$$  3.Creperie Du Village – Situated in the centre of Aspen, although feels like a quaint secret location in mexico. This place some of the best crepe’s and fondues. A fun place for kids too. $$

Whilst in Aspen we stayed at The Little Nell, a 5 star hotel situated right at the base of Aspen mountain and in directly in the centre of town. We were surrounded by gorgeous views, Shopping, restaurants and the most fun ice skating rink. Underneath the christmas lights and skating to the sounds of carols, so amazing. In Snowmass we highly recommend The Snowmass Club. It has everything you will ever need. An incredible fitness centre for off snow training, fully equipped with a day spa, steam room and sauna, and for the summer, it is situated right on one of the most gorgeous golf courses. You won’t want to leave.

Our trip was primarily for snowboarding, so ON the snow, The tree runs and fresh bluebird powder days followed by Apres at any of the many restaurants on or at the base of the mountain. OFF the snow, dinning at some world class restaurants or catching a live band at The Belly Up for a fun night out. We cannot recommend this place enough, it is truly magic.
