Woodland Tea Party |

10th February 2014

Get ready to be blown away….literally!!  Amber & Mark’s windy day at Jonkers Farm, Waitakere has so much character and charm it has left me head over heels for this Tea party celebration captured by Bayly & Moore.  Here are a few words from Amber;

“A few months out from our wedding date and the only thing we had confirmed were the photographers; The wonderful Bayly & Moore. A little worried, we sat with them over coffee and brainstormed some ideas about where would be the perfect venue. We had a few conditions: It had to have a forest and space for a tea party. They had suggested a place called Jonkers Farm out in Waitakere which is usually used as a film location. As soon as we saw it we were in love! Our vision for the day all came together perfectly after confirming the perfect venue”

“We wanted to make the day as fun for our guests as it was for us, so while we were signing the register they played pass the parcel, and we had a handful of our close friends who are great musicians to play some cool tunes throughout the day.  Instead of having a reception, we had a tea party, so for months we scrounged around op shops to find tea cups and pots which our guests then filled with lollies and took home with them! We had around 10 flavours of T2 Tea for our guests to try, along with tables filled with homemade baking”

“So many of our friends and family helped us make our wedding our own. As we didn’t want to spend too much, we made many of the decorations, including the bunting, signs, centre pieces, backdrop and hay bail seats.  Although making decorations, writing the perfect vows and designing our own invitations took a lot of extra time, it was worth it to feel like our wedding was a day that completely reflected us”
